Users of untethered robotics applications want to minimize downtime and unfortunately, robots eventually run out of battery capacity. Makers are faced with two design options: a robot that simply slow charges and one where the battery is swapped or physically replaced with a fully charged battery. Each of these options are not ideal, adding challenges to reducing downtime and cost (see table below). Morelle offers a third option: ultra fast charging. It takes the simple process of plugging into a receptacle and makes it lightening quick, keeping the robot running nearly 24 hours per day. Charging should take minutes not hours.

Morelle’s fast charging technology can be packaged in a variety of form factors to accomodate the requirements of the robotic application. We provide custom BMS, chargers, and battery units that are all optimized to work seamlessly with your system, including autonomous systems. Our systems have been fully tested and validated, achieving over 1,000 cycles when charging at 5C*.

*1C represents a full charge in one hour. A 5C rate indicates 1 full charge every 12 minutes
